The Backstory
We’re Courtney & Emilie, the co-founders of campsnreckids.com. Courtney is a mom of three boys, who are into baseball, rock-climbing, and basketball. Emilie is the mom of a boy who’s into pottery and diving.
Courtney is originally from St. Thomas and Emilie was born and raised in Strathroy, aka Strathvegas.
We both now live in London and met* while taking breaks from our “day jobs”--Courtney was a speech-language pathologist and PhD student; Emilie was a class actions lawyer and investment manager. Where did it all came from?
We came up with the idea for campsnreckids.com while lamenting about howhard it is to keep track of everything as a parent–especially staying on top of camp registration season. Unless you’re #blessed to either be–or be really close friends with–that SuperMom who seems to know everything, it’s really tough to know what’s out there, let alone the deadlines!
We created the website to be that SuperMom/SuperGuardian for all the overwhelmed and under-informed parents like us. Our goal with this website is to bring speed and confidence to your search for camps, activities, and birthday party services, so that you can focus on what matters most–finding the very best programs for your family.

We started Camps N' Rec Kids because, like so many parents, we were tired of juggling tabs, deadlines, and waitlists just to find great programs for our kids. We knew there had to be a simpler way — ONE place where families could easily discover camps, classes, and fun all year long. What began as a passion project for our own families has grown into a resource for ALL parents.
